Description

If you're looking for a wholesome replacement for your childhood favorite crispies bar without inflammatory oils or sugary marshmallows, this recipe will hit the spot. Adding in peanut butter, cashew butter, or almond butter takes them up a notch!

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cups nut butter (organic peanut butter, almond butter, and cashew butter work best)
  • 3 tablespoons virgin coconut oil
  • 1/3 cup raw honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups sprouted rice cereal (One Degree Organic is our favorite)
Instructions
  1. Step 1
Line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Step 2

Melt the butter, coconut oil, and honey in a small pot on the stove, stirring to combine. Do not overheat. Turn off the stove, add the vanilla, and stir to until smooth.

  3. Step 3
Pour the rice cereal, salt, and cinnamon into a medium mixing bowl.
  4. Step 4
Pour the wet ingredients into the mixing bowl and mix well with a spatula.
  5. Step 5
Pour the mixture into the parchment paper-lined dish using a spatula to push the batter down evenly throughout the pan.
  6. Step 6

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight. Remove the crispies and cut just prior to serving.
